An opinion piece has been published in RealClear Health about the upcoming launch of the “skin substitute” LCD(s), authored by the president of Consumer Action for a Strong Economy (CASE). The article notes that in just four years, spending on skin substitutes has increased from $2 billion per year to $12 billion per year and makes the case that implementing the LCD could decrease fraud and abuse, in addition to rewarding companies that have invested in research.

I still do not believe the LCDs will be enacted next week. Too much lobbyist money and bad actors ensuring they do everything possible to not let them go into effective. Even the President is bought and paid for by these groups. We will see. . .
