Why my patient with Medicare Advantage does not have any wound dressings, even though he has had “skilled home health” for 3 weeks.
And to make this more fun, my hospital says we are spending too much staff time on each patient so we need to see them faster. This process has taken more than 6 phone calls and the patient still doesn’t have dressings, even though he has a home health agency.

I would like to say I am shocked but I am not. Maybe the patient should call the MA, rather than the WCC, to let them know that he/she is going back to traditional Medicare! I recognize that the patient doesn’t realize that MA is part of the problem….. or maybe they do now! Sad that the patient, you, your staff, the HHA staff are having to spend so much time and energy on this.
