Here’s the PDF of the presentation I gave at the recent Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society meeting on using the PARACELSUS scoring system to diagnose pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) – since you can’t trust a biopsy!
I am NOT a Dermatologist and don’t pretend to be one, but wound care practitioners probably see more PG than dermatologists, so this presentation is intended to help them identify this painful and difficult to treat disease. All the photos of PG are from my own cases, which tells you that PG is not rare and is likely to be seen in wound centers.
