I am noticing how often Nurse Practitioners are being indicted for healthcare fraud. It is partly due to the fact that a very large portion of the CTP/CAMP use is being billed by nurse practitioners. However, it is also due to the nature of the agreements they’ve entered into with amniotic companies. Stay tuned for more thoughts about this.

It would be interesting to see what percentage each educational preparation is. I haven’t seen equal reports on physicians and podiatrists.
Lets not forget (and the following comment is not an indictment of ALL NPs that do wound care) that most state scope of practice acts do not allow nurses (even ARNPs) to perform surgery. The application of skin substitues or cellular tissue products is technically listed under the 15000 CPT code set as “Skin Surgery”.
