COVID-19 diaries – in graphic form. The good news is that the curve has, in fact, become flat. That’s better than the Himalayan climb we saw in March. Right now, discharges from the ICU occur at the same rate as admissions – so there isn’t any indication that the situation is actually improving, but at least the ship isn’t actively sinking. The hospital is at 200% capacity, and the physician workforce is at 50% of normal, due largely to COVID-19 related illness.

The trouble with this curve is that it isn’t a curve so much as a line – and I don’t know how far it stretches.
