Meet my little friend Bella, who is 10. Her Mom is a hard-working wound care nurse and with the challenges of COVID-19, it’s been difficult to find time to properly care for Bella’s long locks. Her hair really grew out while all the salons were closed. So, Bella decided to turn her tangled hair problem  into a blessing for someone else. She cut her hair and donated it to Wigs for Kids, a non-profit organization that provides human-hair wigs to children undergoing chemotherapy.

Here is Bella with her long “COVID-19 ponytail”, getting her hair cut, and her adorable (very grown up looking) short hairstyle.

…and here’s Bella’s clean and combed ponytail about to be sent off to Wigs for Kids.

I remember the arguments I had with my Mom over my long and unruly hair! I love the idea of turning that stress into a blessing for a child who is worried about something a lot worse than COVID-19. Find out more by visiting this link.

Way to go Bella!
