My friend and patient – Morgan McCoy – has a big celebration on October 14th. That’s the day her right leg was amputated above the knee in order to save her life.
Morgan is the antithesis of the victim mentality that is plaguing our country. She’s celebrating the day her leg was amputated as “Brave and Strong” (BS) Day, using it as an opportunity to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network in Oklahoma. Morgan even made me a bracelet to wear on October 14th in honor of the occasion.

Morgan, girlfriend, here’s to people who overcome adversity instead of living as victims, and who make the world a better place for others.

She is definitely unusually mature and wise beyond her biological years. I observed that her parents are exceptional as well. Thanks for sharing this inspirational reminder.
