I am proud to be the co-chair of the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders. The work the Alliance does makes me think of that line from the movie Men in Black: “There’s always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, or a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable little planet, and the only way these people can get on with their happy lives is that they DO NOT KNOW ABOUT IT!”

The difference is that everyone in the field of wound management NEEDS to know about the threats to patient access. There are a LOT of them, and they are always out there. I’m linking to a summary of the highlights. It’s exhausting work carried out by every professional association involved in wound care under the leadership of the Alliance. It takes a lot of people to monitor and respond to these threats. Thank goodness we’ve got the Alliance as our MiB.
