Recently, I was a guest on the MicroGenDx Mic’d Up podcast, hosted by Rick Martin, CEO of MicroGenDX. We chatted about cases in which MicroGenDx had made a difference in the management of some chronic wound patients – as well as some cases in which the results told me that the problem was NOT bacterial. We also talked about the challenges of interpreting DNA assays from wounds and the resources that MicroGenDx provides to practitioners. I certainly learned a lot, and I appreciate how hard Rick and his team work to ensure optimal care for patients and optimal utilization by clinicians. Few diagnostic companies provide a connection to other practitioners if you need additional clinical input.
