In the early 1990s we had a form for our wound care patients to document the wound size and the dressing we used, etc. It seems to me that the templates inside most EHRs are no different from those old forms. Unless you have an EHR that can process data and actually help you create procedure notes, etc. you haven’t come very far since 1992.
